Clinical Intern

Clinical Interns are Registered Psychotherapists (Qualifying) who are in the final stages of their educational journey. They offer low-cost and sliding scale options where you get two therapists - the Clinical Intern and Clinical Supervisor (overseeing the therapy provided) for the price of one! They also offer greater flexibility with evening and weekend appointments available.

Do you ever feel really strong feelings like anger, fear, or shame that make you do things you regret? Like maybe you end up doing stuff that hurts you or others, and it’s hard to stop? It can make you feel like you’ve lost control of yourself and your life. Imagine looking back and seeing that things have changed for the good. Picture being able to tell when shame starts creeping in and having the tools to stop it from taking over. You can feel safe knowing that those feelings don’t define you. It may still hurt at times, but it won’t spiral into a crisis. You’ll learn to navigate your days to align with the life you want.

The journey of self-discovery is one of discomfort and growth as we move toward understanding. My approach to psychotherapy is non-judgemental and focuses on creating a safe space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions and behaviours. Whether it is managing feelings of anxiety, stress, shame, understanding substance use or building resiliency and self-esteem, I am here to offer a space to explore collaboratively and with compassion.

I am in the process of completing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

I have an eclectic approach to psychotherapy, believing that the therapy should match the individual. I work from a lens that honours diversity, focused on the ongoing growth of cultural competency and a socially just attitude, embracing the vulnerability of therapy from a place of empathy and trust. I will support you in setting goals and walk alongside you to achieve them by building coping strategies and developing skills that enhance your overall well-being.
